Free swimming classes for grown ups
Do you wish to learn how to swim? Welcome to Göteborgsims swimming class for grown ups! The courses are free of charge due to that Gothenburg City sponsers the fee!
Create a membership account (see below), with your personal number and then make the registation at: Simskola – Fria vuxen simskolor.
Autumn 2025
Entries for autumn 2025 are open, if a group is fully booked it doesn´t show up on the booking site.
The courses start weeks and ends, schedule see your membership account:
Angereds Arena.
– Wendsday: W. 36-51.
Hammarbadet, observe that on wendsdays and fridays the courses are only for women, no males are allowed.
– Tuesday: W. 36-51.
– Wendsday (only women): W 36-51.
– Thursday: W. 36-51.
– Freday (only women): W. 36-51.
Kärrabadet
– Thursday: We will open the booking when the swimmingpool opens up, after the renovation.
The training is once a week. No training on Red days or when the swimmingpool is closed.
Due to renovation in Frölundabadet we don´t hav any training times there and in Askims Simhall.
Observe – If you can swim more than 10 metres, you can not join this class!
Levels
There are three different levels to choose from, which one you choose depends on your experience of being in water / swimming.
- Level 1: No or only a little water experience (mainly water training and some swimming technique)
- Level 2: You have water experience and can swim a few strokes (training on water experience, swimming technique)
- Level 3: You have water experience and can swim 10-20 metres (here we train to swim longer and swim technique)
Times
There are no courses over the weekends, only weekdays. See schedule on your membership account.
- Angered Arena: Wednesday – level 2, 3
- Hammarbadet: Monday (only women), Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (only women) – level 1, 2, 3
- Kärrabadet: Thursday evening – level 2, 3
